About me.  I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and California native. I am also the Director of Training & Development and Clinical Supervisor at Mindbodyology.  As a therapist, I do my best to practice what I teach by prioritizing my own mental health and wellness. I spend much of my free time traveling, practicing meditation, and creating homemade, plant-based aromatherapy products. I believe my capacity to support others is largely dependent on how I care for myself and a reflection of how I will care for my clients.

My Experience.  I completed my graduate work in 2012 at the University of Southern California where I obtained my Master’s degree in Social Work. I have been licensed in the State of California since 2018 and also hold clinical licenses in Texas and Washington. I am also certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a treatment technique that supports individuals in processing trauma and alleviating stress through a series of rapid eye movements. I have worked with diverse populations and in many settings, such as healthcare, government, community mental health and school based services. I believe all of these experiences have brought me to this point in my career and make me a well rounded and compassionate clinician.

My Support.  I enjoy working with adults, youth and families who have been impacted by complex mental health and emotional challenges, including depression, grief/loss, substance use, difficulties with life transitions, embracing one’s sexual and gender identity and so on. I believe that treatment should be unique to the individual so I utilize an array of clinical approaches to provide individualized treatment to all of my clients. I operate from a systems perspective, helping clients to see themselves and their challenges as a part of a larger picture. Support them in removing barriers that may be blocking them from healing by looking at how their family of origin and their environment have shaped their worldview and self perception. I am also solution focused and extremely passionate about supporting diverse populations. I make it my mission to respect and affirm all gender identities/expressions, races/nationalities, sexual orientations, and religious/spiritual beliefs.
