ABOUT ME. I’m Jaclyn Bettis, ND, MS, MACP, APCC—an Holistic Psychotherapist, Naturopathic Doctor and Massage Therapist devoted to integrative mental health, trauma recovery, and mind-body-spirit healing. My path has always been guided by a passion to understand the human experience and to support people in reconnecting with their authentic selves. I hold a Master of Science in Cellular Molecular Biology and Neuroscience, a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine, a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with Concentrations in Pre-Medicine and Behavioral Neuroscience. My unique clinical lens bridges hard science and sacred connection—honoring both evidence-based therapies and the healing power of nature, intuition, and embodied presence.
My professional path has been guided by a deep belief in the body’s wisdom and our capacity for transformation, especially in the face of trauma and addiction. I am especially passionate about supporting individuals in substance use recovery, emotional regulation, and reconnection with self through both nature-based practices and somatic therapies. Whether working with clients in early recovery, managing chronic stress or integrating spiritual awakenings, I aim to hold space for personal growth, resilience, and holistic well-being.
MY EXPERIENCE. My experience spans over two decades across neuroscience research, naturopathic clinical training, and mental health counseling. I bring over 1,000 hours of clinical naturopathic experience treating mood disorders, ADHD, trauma, and chronic health conditions with a functional, root-cause perspective. I specialize in treating co-occurring disorders and have a deep clinical background in addiction medicine and recovery-oriented care. I have dedicated my life to exploring what it means to heal on biochemical, energetic, physiological, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual levels.
As a Naturopathic Doctor, I offer a unique integrative approach that includes naturopathic support, massage therapy, biofeedback and neurofeedback to help clients regulate their nervous systems, release trauma, restore balance and feel empowered in both body, and mind. I am passionate about treating the whole person and creating a healing space where science, nature, mind-body-spirit and emotional wellness meet.
As a Holistic Psychotherapist, I’ve served as a primary therapist at a substance abuse recovery center, working with men in PHP, IOP, and OP levels of care. My clinical role included individual therapy, psychoeducation, relapse prevention, crisis management, and trauma processing. I facilitated dynamic process groups and experiential workshops focused on the 12-Steps of Recovery, neuroscience of addiction, and mind-body skills for long-term healing. I am experienced in Refuge Recovery and SMART Recovery modalities and deeply committed to empowering individuals as they navigate sobriety, emotional regulation, and personal transformation.
Beyond the therapy room, my training also emphasizes ecotherapy and nature-based therapeutic interventions. Through clinical internships rooted in earth-based and indigenous healing traditions, I learned to guide clients in reconnecting with their inner wisdom through ritual, nature immersion, dreamwork, and nervous system regulation grounded in somatic and energetic principles.
MY APPROACH. I incorporate my passion for neuroscience, nature, and adventure into my therapeutic approach. I work from a trauma-informed, holistic, and spiritually sensitive framework. My style is compassionate and individualized, blending neuroscience, somatic psychology, massage therapy and soul work. I believe recovery—whether from trauma, addiction, or self-abandonment—is an act of reclamation and transformation. In our work together, we explore the parts of you that seek relief, the wisdom in your coping, and the possibility of rewriting your story.
I incorporate Internal Family Systems, ACT, Jungian psychotherapy, and somatic experiencing, along with ecotherapy and lifestyle medicine. For clients in recovery, I tailor treatment to include psychoeducation on the brain, emotional processing, body-based tools, and spiritual integration practices. For others, our work may include reconnecting to the natural world, regulating the nervous system, or exploring core beliefs shaped by trauma and culture.
MY COMMITMENT. Above all, I meet you where you are—with deep respect for your healing rhythm—and offer a safe, grounded space to remember who you are beyond pain and suffering. I use a collaborative and compassionate therapeutic relationship to guide clients toward their personal goals. Together, we uncover core beliefs, work through protective parts, and develop greater self-understanding and personal integration. I harmonize evidence-based tools with spiritual and somatic methods, drawing from Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Jungian perspectives, and nutritional psychiatry. Whether we are working with trauma, nervous system regulation, addiction, or emotional health, I tailor every session to support your unique rhythm, resilience, and readiness.
