ABOUT ME. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who feels deep gratitude in sharing space with clients to offer connection, techniques, and practices that cultivate healing, authenticity, and growth. I am passionate about creating a warm and accepting therapeutic space where clients can feel like their most genuine selves in order to work through conflict, challenges, and heaviness that they may be experiencing in life. In reflection of the work that I do, I care for my mind, body, and spirit through hiking, yoga/meditation, reading, and going on adventures with my 2-year old daughter.
MY APPROACH. In this fast-paced world we live in, I strive to create slow and intentional spaces that honor clients’ strengths and capabilities, while also providing therapeutic techniques and healing practices that bring clients to alignment with their mind, body, energy, relationships, and community. To honor the many parts of a client, I use a blend of modalities informed by Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, meditation, and somatic experiencing. I also bring a therapeutic lens that acknowledges how clients’ culture, background, and intergenerational dynamics play a role in how they engage with the world and how the many systems that they are a part of impact their well-being and nervous systems.
MY EXPERIENCE. My background is rooted in supporting clients at both an individual level and at a family/community level. While obtaining my Bachelor’s in Social Work at CSULB, I had the opportunity to intern in Germany at a refugee camp to provide resources and support to refugee youth and families. Eager to continue promoting the well-being of youth and families in underserved communities, I interned with the YMCA Community Development Program at elementary schools in Long Beach. I continued on at CSULB, earning my Master’s in Social Work and expanding my knowledge on substance use, homelessness, community building, and social systems through my work at both the Orange County-DUI/Drug Courts and the Anaheim Union High School District. For four years, I then worked in the school system offering individual therapy, group therapy, crisis intervention, and campus-wide mental health awareness to students.
