About Me. I’m a dedicated psychotherapist with a passion for helping children, teens, young adults, parents, and families build healthier, more fulfilling lives. With over 10 years of experience in the mental health field across a range of settings, I bring a well-rounded and compassionate approach to the unique individuals and families I serve.
As a Southern California native, I began my academic journey in sociology and psychology at CSU San Marcos, where I developed a strong foundation in understanding individual and societal dynamics. I later earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Denver, where I deepened my clinical skills and commitment to trauma-informed care. My practice is grounded in evidence-based techniques, genuine connection, and a deep belief in every person’s capacity for growth and healing.
Outside of the therapy room, I find peace and inspiration in nature. I enjoy exploring the outdoors with my dogs, spending time at the beach, and swimming. These activities help me stay grounded and present in both my personal life and my work.
Whether you’re navigating life transitions, emotional challenges, or looking for a new direction or chapter, I’m here to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
My Experience. I’ve had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families across a variety of settings including schools, community mental health programs, residential care, and private practice. These diverse experiences have given me an understanding of the unique challenges faced by individuals and families from many different cultural and economic backgrounds.
Much of my experience has been devoted to supporting youth through tough transitions and life changes; such as adjusting to new family dynamics, healing from trauma, or managing anxiety, depression, and big emotions. For younger children, I often incorporate play therapy and creative approaches, helping them process experiences and express themselves in ways that feel safe and natural. I’ve also worked extensively with foster youth and individuals facing severe mental illness, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, and struggles with substance use, always tailoring my approach to meet each child’s or family’s unique needs.
My Approach. I believe therapy works best when it feels safe, collaborative, and tailored to the individuals needs and life stage. My style is warm, compassionate, and strengths-based, rooted in the belief that every person has the ability to heal and thrive when given the right support.
My approach weaves together a variety of evidence-based therapies including; Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), narrative therapy, trauma-focused therapy, somatic practices, mindfulness, play therapy, and art therapy. I use these tools flexibly, always focusing on what will be most helpful in the moment.
My Commitment. Together, we’ll work to understand your story, build coping strategies, and create meaningful change. At the heart of my approach, my goal is always to create a safe, supportive space where each person feels understood, empowered, and capable of growth and healing.
