ABOUT ME. My passion comes from working with individuals and supporting them through the process of healing and personal growth. As a psychotherapist, I have the privilege of witnessing meaningful change as people gain insight, resilience, and a deeper understanding of themselves. Growing up and studying in Chicago, I had the opportunity to engage with a wide variety of individuals across different age groups and cultural backgrounds. I am bilingual in Arabic and English, and my culturally diverse background has given me a deeper appreciation for different cultures, norms, and individual experiences, allowing me to connect with and support clients in a meaningful, culturally sensitive way. I hold a license as an Associate Clinical Social Worker and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Social Work, with a focus on child development. I believe warmth, genuine connection, and deep understanding are the foundation of effective therapy. Creating a safe and supportive space helps clients feel seen and valued.
MY APPROACH: My approach to therapy is rooted in person-centered care and cognitive-behavioral strategies. I have long had a passion for working with young children and adolescents. My background in child development gives me a deeper understanding of both children and adults. I also enjoy exploring the psychology of personality and using tools that help clients better understand themselves. I focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship grounded in empathy, trust, and collaboration, while helping clients explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. By combining the insights of CBT with a client-centered perspective, I support individuals in understanding themselves, identifying patterns, developing coping skills, and making meaningful changes that align with their values and goals.
JOURNEY WITH ME: When working with me, we will explore thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, identify patterns, and develop practical strategies to navigate challenges and promote personal growth. I support clients ages 5 to 21, as well as older adults, who are experiencing challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, difficulties with relational stress, emotional regulation, self-esteem struggles, and life transitions. I also use play therapy to connect with younger clients, helping them feel heard, understood, and supported as they process emotions and heal. Whether through conversation, skill-building, or creative approaches, my goal is to help all clients gain insight, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change.
