ABOUT ME. Hi, I’m Sydnee Valli, ASW. I believe healing begins in connection. When we feel safe, supported, and truly understood, growth becomes possible. Since beginning my work in mental health, I have been honored to work with children, teens, and adults as they navigate anxiety, life transitions, relationship stress, self doubt, and difficult past experiences.
Life can feel overwhelming at times. You may notice yourself overthinking, feeling emotionally stuck, reacting more strongly than you would like, or struggling with confidence and direction. Therapy offers a space to slow down, gain clarity, and reconnect with your strengths. You do not need to have everything figured out before you begin. We will work together to understand what is happening and identify meaningful steps forward.
I strive to create a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where you can show up exactly as you are. My approach is steady and collaborative, always moving at a pace that feels comfortable and supportive for you.
MY APPROACH. EMDR is a central part of my work and one of the many tools I use to support meaningful change. While EMDR is widely known for helping process trauma, it is also highly effective for anxiety, self esteem concerns, performance blocks, relationship patterns, and distressing life experiences that continue to impact the present.
EMDR helps the brain process experiences in a way that reduces emotional intensity and shifts negative beliefs such as “I am not good enough” or “I am not safe.” Many clients find that they feel lighter, more confident, and less reactive as a result of this work.
In addition to EMDR, I integrate evidence based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to reshape unhelpful thought patterns, Dialectical Behavior Therapy to strengthen emotional regulation skills, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to clarify values and build psychological flexibility, and mindfulness practices to increase present moment awareness.
For children and teens, I incorporate developmentally appropriate approaches including play and creative expression, creating space for feelings to be explored in ways that feel natural and accessible.
WHO I WORK WITH. I work with children eight and older, adolescents, and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, emotional regulation challenges, self esteem concerns, life transitions, and relational stress. I also support individuals who want to better understand patterns rooted in earlier life experiences and build healthier ways of coping and relating.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT. Clients often describe me as warm, grounded, and thoughtful. I balance empathy with practical guidance, helping you build tools for daily life while also fostering deeper self awareness and resilience.
Therapy is not about fixing something that is broken. It is about creating space for growth, insight, and lasting change. My goal is for you to leave sessions feeling supported, empowered, and better equipped to move forward with confidence.
If you are ready to take the next step, I would be honored to support you in that process
