ABOUT ME. I am an Marriage and Family Therapist who is dedicated to helping clients connect all the parts that exist within themselves. I am passionate about creating a warm and empowering environment for my clients to feel comfortable being their authentic selves. I believe it’s important to foster our inner light and warm and in my free time, I recharge my energy by tuning into my mind and body through writing, dancing, practicing yoga and sound bath meditations, going on walks, and spending time with my dog Ellie.
MY APPROACH. I believe that all the answers you seek, are within yourself and as a therapist, it is my role to strengthen your relationship with yourself, including the parts that appear rough around the edges. The ever-changing nature of life can cause self-doubt and uncertainty and during our therapeutic journey, I will walk alongside you to highlight your strengths and help you lean into the softness that makes you, you.
I like to blend different modalities both integrative and conventional to meet you where you are and to understand where you want to go. I utilize Person-Centered Therapy (PCT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help you achieve those goals. I also offer Yoga Therapy, Sound Bowl Meditation Therapy and Eco Therapy (Walk-Talk Therapy on Hiking Trails out in nature)!
MY EXPERIENCE. I’ve always been fascinated with the relationships we have with ourselves and with others. During my undergraduate experience at UC Irvine, I studied Psychology and Social Behavior and volunteered as the Violence Prevention Chair at the Campus Assault Resource and Education Center. I learned more about healthy relationships and worked closely with domestic violence shelters to educate the community about the cycle of violence and how to cultivate healthy relationships with others and ourselves. I entered the mental health field in 2020, working as a case manager at a mental health facility. I continued my education at California State University, Fullerton to obtain my Master of Science in Counseling with an emphasis in clinical counseling and marriage and family therapy.
After obtaining my degree, I ventured out to work with different populations including teens, TAY (18-25), adults, and older adults in various settings from schools, community agencies, START programs, clinical research, and outpatient community mental health. I’ve provided group services that focused on self-empowerment and healthy relationships for young women and am passionate about working with issues from shame, interpersonal/intrapersonal relationships, trauma, anxiety, and inner criticisms through self-understanding and self-compassion.
BECOME MY CLIENT. I believe healing encompasses mind, body and soul. My goal is to cultivate a safe and compassionate environment for clients to feel free to be open and explore the feelings and issues that have led them to therapy. I encourage a collaborative approach that is whole person centered and tailored to the individual and their goals for therapy. By working together, I help my clients navigate a path toward healing and growth!
