ABOUT ME. I am a dedicated and compassionate associate marriage and family therapist specializing in complex trauma, anxiety, and depression. My passion for helping others navigate their inner struggles and find their path to healing has led me on an inspiring journey in the field of mental health.
MY SIGNATURE APPROACH. With a deep understanding of the human psyche and the complexities of trauma, I strive to create a safe and empathetic space for my clients to explore their emotions and experiences. My approach to therapy is rooted in evidence-based practices, and I am well-versed in therapeutic modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I believe that integrating these approaches can empower individuals to break free from limiting patterns and embrace positive change.
Beyond traditional therapies, I am also passionate about utilizing mind-body modalities to address the interconnectedness of emotional and physical well-being. As a registered yoga therapist, I have witnessed the profound impact of yoga and mindfulness on promoting self-awareness and reducing stress. I incorporate these practices into my daily life and share them with my clients as valuable tools for managing their mental health challenges.
My goal in our sessions is to help you gain insights, build resilience, and develop healthier coping strategies. I am committed to fostering a collaborative therapeutic relationship that encourages trust and supports your unique journey to healing and growth.
MY EXPERIENCE. I pursued my academic journey at the University of California, Riverside, where I immersed myself in the fascinating field of Psychology. After earning my undergraduate degree, I continued my education at California Baptist University, where I obtained a master’s degree in counseling psychology. Throughout my professional journey, I have been privileged to gain diverse clinical experience that has broadened my perspective and enriched my skillset.
My work has predominantly centered around helping individuals facing various mental health challenges, including depression, stress, and anxiety. I have also dedicated a significant part of my career to supporting justice-involved individuals, fostering recovery within communities, addressing the unique needs of the BIPOC community, providing guidance to college students navigating the complexities of life, and assisting individuals dealing with the aftermath of trauma. This dynamic and multifaceted experience has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of human psychology and a deep commitment to promoting mental well-being.
