ABOUT ME.  My name is Galina Storozhenko LCSW.  I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I got my degree from San Diego State University in Mental Health and Social Work. I am bilingual and able to provide therapy services in English and in Russian. I have more than 15 years of experience providing individuals with mental health services to improve their quality of life.

My Experience. I have worked in the healthcare field for over 15 years. I have worked for hospice agencies providing grief counseling as well as in medical hospitals providing patients with mental health support as they experienced chronic medical issues as well as sudden traumatic illnesses. I have worked with individuals, couples, and families as they have worked to resolve their mental health concerns. I have worked with law enforcement, active-duty military, veterans, first responders and many other professionals. I have extensive experience helping people with PTSD, trauma, anxiety, depression, substance abuse and serious mental illness.

MY APPROACH. I view my approach to mental health counseling ias eclectic and client centered. I work with clients to identify what their mental health concerns are and help them with healthy growth and development. I value cultural and social diversity and believe in the importance on working with respect and collaboration with individuals with diverse backgrounds and needs. I incorporate different therapy models in conjunction based on client needs to foster a sense of personalized therapy to help clients achieve their goals and attain their best results.
